Ayrshire Alps Sportive 2027

The next edition of the Ayrshire Alps Sportive is on Saturday 22nd May 2027.

The hill roads of South Carrick make up the ultimate road cyclist's playground.Popularly referred to as the 'Ayrshire Alps', the landscape offers fantastic scenery and a tough cycling challenge. Stiff climbs and sweeping descents over spectacular hills, including the iconic Nic O'Balloch, are guaranteed as are the really quiet roads.

Rotary Club of Ayr

Organised by Ayr Rotary since 2022, the Sportive is renowned for friendly volunteers and marshals, superb home baking and a great atmosphere. There is a choice of 4 routes from a scenic but still challenging  50 miles to an epic 102 miles with 8680 ft of climb.

It is entirely volunteer-run in aid of the Rotary Club of Ayr Benevolent Fund, a registered charity. We ask for a donation of £40 rather than an entry fee.Because the proceeds go to charity, if you are able to tick the box for gift aid on the entry form this is a great additional benefit.

All the proceeds go to support smaller local charities and deserving community organisations in Ayrshire. Recent beneficiaries have included Cycling without Age, various youth groups, foodbanks, cancer charities, and other groups helping vulnerable people.
